Then, he did his post-doctoral studies in the lab of Dr. Vassilis Zannis in the U.S.A (where he was first introduced to the exciting world of lipoproteins and cardiovascular Pharmacology) and in Biochemical Pharmacology, Endocrinology, and Experimental Gene Therapy in the labs of Drs Ko Willems van Dijk and Louis Havekes in the Netherlands. In 2004 he became Instructor and in 2006 Research Assistant Professor in Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. In 2008, he was appointed as Associate Professor of Pharmacology at The University of Patras School of Health Sciences, Department of Medicine, in Greece‚ where in December 2013‚ he was promoted to Full Professor of Pharmacology. Ultimate goal of their studies is the identification of novel pharmaceutical targets and the development of lead biological compounds for the treatment of these conditions. In addition to research, Dr. Kypreos has extensive teaching experience. Currently, he co-coordinates and teaches the courses of Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics offered to the medical students of the University and participates in advanced courses offered by the Graduate Program in "Basic Medical Sciences” of the University of Patras Department of Medicine.
